We are incredibly fortunate to welcome The Very Rev’d Canon Richard Sewell, Dean of St George’s College, Jerusalem, to Tewkesbury Abbey. Living and serving in the heart of the Holy Land since 2018, Dean Richard has become a globally respected spokesperson and a regular voice on international media regarding the tragedies in Israel and Palestine.

 With a background in major inter-faith projects and decades of ministry, he offers a rare, eyewitness perspective on the conflict. His "radical empathy" and deep theological insight provide a unique bridge across bitter divides. In a time of simplified headlines, this is a vital opportunity to hear a nuanced, compassionate reflection on the "way of peace" from someone at the centre of the situation.
