tewkesbury Accepted on the Inclusive Church Register

We are delighted to report that we have been accepted on the Inclusive Church Register . This means that those people who may feel uncomfortable in visiting a church for whatever reason be it because of a disability, gender issue, sexuality or feeling socially isolated, can refer to the register to learn of churches where they will be made uncondition ally welcome. We are one of those churches. I believe we are well known for our “welcomes” be it to services or to coffee mornings so continuing these welcomes to all who enter our building will not be difficult.

Jayne's 3 Month Sabbatical

We said our temporary “good byes” to Jayne recently as she embarks on her 3 month sabbatical. This is HER time to study, research, refresh and renew and we will look forward to hearing of her experiences on her return. Her introduction in this issue gives us some insight into what she will be doing. Jayne will be back again this September.

Winchcombe Methodist Church

The existing church was built on land purchased in 1884 and it was opened in 1885. 137 years later we have suffered from the use of soft Cotswold stone on so many occasions. Time marches on and despite many, many thousands of pounds being raised and spent we have been forced into some radical thinking! Nobody wanted to move from here: but with the two concerns of lack of volunteers to perform duties and the spiralling costs it is becoming impossible to carry on!

The circuit executive has been informed that our last service here will be:

SUNDAY 16th October 2022  at  3pm

The following  Sunday we will meet at:

Abbeyfields, Cleeve Room, at 10 30am this is the 60 seater room at the rear.
